Yeah…you read that right. Whole wheat chocolate chip banana bread. It’s a mouth-full, but this is a good one. This bread is thick with a nice crust on the outside, and sooo gooey on the inside. I made this recipe with Bob’s Red Mill Organic Whole Wheat flour and other simple, whole ingredients. This dessert is refined sugar-free and only takes an hour start to finish, so let’s get started! I am obsessed with Mexican food. I could eat fajitas and tacos every night. But lets admit something- the best thing about going out for Mexican food is the chips and dip. Since I’m lactose intolerant (no queso for me) and I’ve been making guacamole since junior high, I created my own black bean dip. You definitely have all the ingredients that you need, so no excuses! All you need is a few simple ingredients, a food processor, and five minutes.
Since this is by far my most popular post on Instagram, I thought I would go into more detail about this amazing soup on here. For a little recipe back story, I tried to drink bone broth plain, and in a mug, because everyone was doing it (good reason right?), and I really did not like it. To be fair, drinking anything out of a mug that isn’t coffee or a matcha latte is too weird for me. Nonetheless, I found a delicious way to enjoy this amazing broth.
And then…my Healing Bone Broth Soup was born! In this recipe I used Bonafide Provisions Chicken Bone Broth.I defrosted the bag in warm water for 15 minutes and then added half to a large pot. (This stuff is the real deal you guys!)
This is hands down one of my most requested recipes. Every time I tell someone I make my own milk everyone seems shocked. People have this idea that it’s hard to make nut milk, when it’s so easy. I will never go back to watered down, store-bought milk again. The taste is literally incomparable.
All nut milks are extremely easy to make, so you are not limited to only almond milk. Personally, almond milk is my favorite, but I’ve also made cashew and hemp milk (neither of which require straining so these milks are even easier to make). The only tools you need to make homemade nut milk is a high-powered blender like a Vitamix, one large bowl, and a nut milk bag.
Peanut Butter FUDGE balls. This recipe is super simple to follow, all you need is a high-powered food processor. I use the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor that I purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond and I love it. These energy bites are refined sugar-free and vegan. Continue reading “Peanut Butter Fudge Balls”
Who doesn’t love one-pan meals? Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and clean-up is a breeze. I wanted to combine two new obsessions of mine, turmeric and roasted garbanzo beans. Of course they go together, how could they not? Two of the best things in life are somehow even better together. Continue reading “Turmeric Lemon Bake”
There are few things in this world that I can’t stand. Hot coffee and hot oatmeal in the midst of the summer heat are a few of those things. Alas, I have come up with two solutions; iced coffee and overnight oats. (More on iced coffee later). Overnight oats are a new-found staple for me. There are so many pros to overnight oatmeal, it’s a QUICK, EASY, and COOL way to start your day. Continue reading “Staple Summer Breakfast”
